just wanna say hello from winnipeg,mb a few weeks ago i bought myself a set of "new"wheels;a '67 Ford Galaxie Country Sedan. not new to the hobby classic cars and always with an eye for wagons i came across this '67 and bought it on the spot.it's a very solid car besides the rusted rocker and the rear wheelhousings and quarters.was sitting for a few years but the 289 fired up after priming the carb with a bit fuel, tranny works and not even the brakes are seized. the season can begin... cheers rainer
another Ford wagon in Winterpeg?? geez....you guys are gonna be able to start your own club.... well... Euro...and congrats on the new beast so?....are ya gonna try and restore her?...or just drive her? I'm in the process of buying a 68 CS...and i have no plans to actually work on it...just gonna drive this one
to the wagon train, euro. That wagon appears to have served well over the years. Thanks for saving it!
I guess those dog dish hubcaps are correct for that year, but I don't remember seeing them. I thought the right ones for the '67 were flatter with a black oval in the center. How in the world could we ever find out for sure? Anybody have a '67 Ford brochure? Although, come to think of it, they'd usually show their dressier versions in such promotions; most likely all the cars in it would have the full wheel cover, I'd imagine. Oh good, I found picture of a '67 and it has the ones I'm talking about. These hubcaps were the ones that I thought were the standard ones. I wonder how the ones on Euroman's '67 got on there; were they a different standard one for that year, or did someone, somewhere along the line put the ones on that are on there now? Maybe they're from an F100 or 150 pick up?
Euroman. Nice Country Sedan. A bit of metal work but it's sure looking straight. I didn't realize that you folks actually have sunshine there. I like the dog dish hubcaps.
Not only do we have longer Sunshine days than Miami, FL, we even have our own Miami, MB. Its just a million shivers colder!
Nope, there's no Polar Bear swim here, except the real ones. BC and Toronto do one, but they wear clothes.
Thanks guy's for the welcome... just brought the wagon home today from outta town where it was stored for a few weeks an had a flat tire just after 2 miles down the road...and a stuttering engine right after.but with my buddy's compressor close by for the fuelline and a spare tire we were back on our way.... the plan with the car is doing the bodywork and since the cars are made for driving i will do plenty of it(hopefully).so no fullblown restauration, not really a fan of it.as for the hubcabs i have no clue where they coming off from, and they will go onto the shelf.... yeah, glad i found the wagon, was advertised for almost a year and no takers,so lucky me
