    ...its my claim to fame...

Ian...its odd that you would do this post...i just had this conversation with the girl i'm dating.
she's not a 'puter person'...well...less than me :yup:

she cant believe that i refer to people that Ive never met as 'friends' and talk about them like i see them all the time:rofl2:

There are definitely a bunch of us that seem to have a "odd attachment":rofl2::rofl2:
we'd probably dislike each other in person...:rofl2::rofl2:

I guess ...were the New World version of "pen pals":tiphat:

and I'm happy to call you geeks..."friend"

I like our little family also. I dont show up as often as I should, but theres always that one. I just wish we were all closer together so we could have Wagon Rallies like the folks in my GMC Motorhome club do.

We have a lot in common as a group - enjoying the wagons and the life styles they promote.

We "talk" as friends often, and are not shy about sharing the ups and downs of important stuff in our lives, but don't get soppy about it either.

We say things sometimes that are taken out of context by another and promptly correct that by using better wording to clarify.

We care about our on-line friends to the point of them being as close as extended family in many cases.

When I find a forum where the people are sincere in the common purpose, are not critical of each other but instead try to understand the differing opinions we share, and are truly concerned about one another, it is to me much like hanging out in a coffee shop with good friends every morning. :thumbs2:

I think we are pretty lucky to have the internet to connect with people of like mind regardless of where they happen to be parked.

Thanks Ian. I say that because it reminds me of my relationship with my dad. He passed a few years ago, but I didn't feel remorse or sad, because we were the best of friends. Dad and I grew up together, learning from each other, and enjoying every minute of our friendship. He was the man I sought to be.

My dad was curious about everything, loved to start 'thought sessions' on anything, and loved doing whatever he did. Heck of a guy, like all of us.(y)

Thanks Ian. This is a great forum and it is a whole lot of fun, not only sharing our passion for long roofs, but helping each other to get through this crazy thing called life. The thing I like about everybody on here is that we all seem to be pretty laid back and easy going so there's hardly ever any problems. Heaven knows I've got enough arguments in my non 'puter life; it's so great to come on here and know there won't be any hassles, just good fun.
