Nice pair of wagons, Cruzer. Do you know what the Pontiac was used for back then? That's really sweet looking and I like the plate on there, Crzr Dog. I couldn't see the Vega's plate; does that say Crzr Pup?!!

the history I have on the '52 ... it was bought new by a florist in Grass Valley CA..
then made it's way to the Nor Cal dragstrips in the 70's

then I rescued it ..all apart in boxes for $1,200 in 1995? ...
just got it done last year ..
drive train is a built Pontiac 400 backed to turbo 400 .. brought up by a Ford 9"rear
    IT SCOOTS. :character0182:

    :Welcome: Crzr!
I love the Vega woodie! My mom had a '74 Vega hatchback when I was a kid, then later a '76(?) Monza wagon woodie much like yours.
    Glad to have you aboard!

Good job saving those 2 wagons! Sedan deliveries were so common at one time. Same with Vegas. Now you never see them at shows. It's so nice to see something different.
Welcome. Yup, this IS a different group! Lots of fun though!

Love the Pontiac Sedan Delivery. I thought it was the 52 featured in the August 87 issue of Collectible Automobile till I pulled out my copy and found the one in the magazine article. The magazine feature car was a Canadian Pontiac and lacks the side trim that your American version has. Thats a real clean Vega woody as well. The last Vega woody I've seen was the one my college room mate had, and that was 25 years ago.
Good luck in finding a 59-60 Studebaker wagon. I believe the 59 was only available as a 2 door wagon, while the 60 was available as a 2 door as well as a 4 door. The 61 looked virtually identical but its possible the 2 door wagon may have been dropped from the line.

Heres a 59 Studebaker Lark wagon that I found on Craigslist in Ohio.

Nice Pontiac. I too now own an orphan but at least we have pretty solid cousins to rob for parts when we need to :rofl2:.

The Vega wagon looks like a real fun get around car. Is it stock? I know there were lots of gripes about the powertrains but I've seen some with tons of miles on them without problems.

Welcome for the Forums. Nice to see other old Pontiac's alive and well.

Neat. If one of those popped up here in that condition I'd be forced to grab it. A friend years back had a 73 Astre Wagon, no wood trim, bright yellow, Buick aluminum V6 and auto, and it was a great little car. He got talked into selling it and wasn't too popular with his wife for quite a while. She enjoyed bopping around town with it.

Got any interior and engine bay pics of the Poncho?

Here’s a few more pics of the ‘52

Engine is a 400 pumped up to 410hp .. 400 trans with shift kit …

it will lay down a patch of rubber even though it’s a hefty rig :mischeif:

the front bench is from a 67 Bonneville with fold down armrest .. chrome tilt”Ididtit” column with old style Lecarrera steering wheel, Vintage air stuffed under the dash … cup holder by Wal-Mart” :drink:

I have a “full time” rear view camera mounted in the rear view mirror .. driving a sedan delivery is like driving a tunnel … poor side views.. I had too many close calls changing lanes .. plus I can watch the people behind me talking on cell phones and drinking beer before they hit me .. :cussing:

the cargo area is basically flat . the battery and stereo is mounted in the station wagon version passenger foot wells … we use it as a business promotional vehicle .. (write off” when we had a profit:juggle:)

I had a ‘55 Safari back in the 85’ and a ‘55 ragtop … I am a sick puppy when it comes to car & bikes ... lost count at 864… but still have the original wife of 40 years ... that came with a '67 Firebird ...
But still looking for NICE, no rust Lark wagon ... and might even trade the Vega Woody for one .. need a tad more room for the “Boxers” :hmmm:
