Hey! I'm new to the forum and a big Chevy fan. And like everyone else, I have numerous projects that are not completed. However I stay determined that I will finish one and all. Lately I've really been searching for a 9 passenger wagon, preferrably a 63 Impala, Bel Air, Biscayne.... I've found that I really like the Kingswood wagon too. After reading a few posts I see everyone is pretty tight with one another and can sniff out the scammers too. I'm not too bad at that myself and I'll call it out when I see it too. Anyway, glad to be here and hope I can find my wagon! G
Seems to be a universal trait. Wagons and wives. Money pits that we can't do without. You don't say where you are, but it would help the 'Posse' to find one for ya.
you could change your name http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/1558726952.html might be worth callin http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/1562554092.html
Cool, I'm going to check those out. I'll give a little more on my "quest" for a 1963 Impala wagon. My father in law is a HUGE 63 Impala guy. And with that goes tons of parts, interior pieces, body parts, frames, etc. I have a 63 Impala hardtop project myself. A 300 hp 327 2 door power window, power seat, AC car with all the original drivetrain. I too have a ton of extra parts. Now I also have 6 kids the oldest being 12 and the youngest being almost 2. I'd love to find a 9 passenger wagon to take them to the drive-in and cruise on warm summer days with my wife. To me that would be such a fun time and they would remember it the rest of their lives. I remember my parents 72 Country Squire when I was little, I remember when they bought it and I jumped around in the back of the thing with my brothers on the car lot. I was barely 4 years old at the time, such a great memory. I'm not hell-bent on a 1963, I love the 68 and 67 wagon and all of the old GMs. If I found a Ford or Chrysler that was a good deal, I'd probably jump on that too. I've owned an auto repair shop for 15 years and can handle anything when it comes to cars. I appreciate the help, everyone here seems really great! G
1963, you've definitely got to find a wagon you can take the family in. I think it's our responsibility to pass along to new generations, the wonders and joys of wagon traveling. How did we ever survive, without rear ac, no dvd players air bags or power windows, back doors that actually opened instead of slid, and, heaven forbid, if you go back far enough, no seatbelts? As we all know, the answer to that question is that we survived very well, thank you very much. Yeah, 1963, you absolutely have to turn your kids onto it; if for no other reason that we're going to need people to carry on this forum after we all go to that great parking lot in the sky. Welcome. I think you're going to like it here.
Snooter, I had a 91 Olds wagon 9 passenger about 2 years ago. It needed some work and I got it cheap just for laughs. Well, I used to use it to take the kids to their baseball games and some grocery shopping. The kids loved that thing, they used to sit all the way in the back and wave to the cars behind me. Just like I did 30+ years ago. If that wagon wasn't falling apart so badly, I would have kept it. But a family member was down on their luck and needed a vehicle so I donated it. It did them well for about a year. The kids didn't even realize there wasn't a DVD player in it either.
Only $62,000.00 for this 63 Impala wagon in California. http://www.oldcaronline.com/ocdetail190486.htm So I guess that means that this 62 Impala 9 passenger wagon is a steal at $21,000.00 http://www.cars-on-line.com/37944.html
