    Hello,
    This is an interesting forum.
I've always liked station wagons and drove an Audi 100 wagon (Avant) for a few years in Sweden, before moving back and now drive an '89 Caprice. It's engine code Y, Olds 307, and needs some TLC. The most urgent issues are a radiator hose, valve covers and transmission front seal. The fun thing is there's not many left on the road near Chicago, so everyone recognizes it. OK, bye for now....

Welcome aboard. I guess speeding is out of the question if you're getting so much deserved attention...:D Sounds like a fine wagon. (y)

    Welcome to the forum, Sidletg,
I like Audi Avants, too. Owned a 2000 A6 before my Focus. just couldn't afford the constant high repair bills. (Bought it high-miles, used).
Beautiful wagon to drive though. Wish I had that all-wheel drive up here in Oregon.

    Thanks for the replies!

    Hello,
Attached are pics of the '89. I'll have to dig up the '94 Audi 100 Avant pictures. It was the body style that became the A6 in 1995. Mine was front wheel drive and a 5 speed, fun to drive.
No speeding in the '89. The axle ratio is seems high, and with the lock up, 4 speed auto (200r4), it doesn't rev much. The whole car feels heavy for the engine power.
    Anyway, I like it.
    Enjoy the pics!
    Thanks!
