Thanks to this great forum I bought that red and white 1959 Edsel Villager in Santa Ana, CA. As I am already out west at the auctions, a co-worker and I are going to drive this wagon from CA to Florida!

Anyone along I-10 speak Edsel? As inconceivable as it might sound, something could go wrong! Thanks.

Outstanding! I'll bet any Ford-speaking member can help, except for the big "O" grille. So its driveable too! What a great find! Congrats! Have a fun drive home. and take pics, lots and lots. Especially the Thumbs UP pics that you get on the way. That'll be one fun drive!

ROAD TRIP!!! Gotta love that spirit. I just bought my '58 Safari from CA, but didn't have the (time/money/balls/confidence in the car/etc) to drive it back here to FL. Turns out it was the right move for me... The car has died twice on round the block trips... Still needs some carb work...

Whoa! Way to go, Tim! My parents lived in Ormond Beach for awhile. I had a condo on the ocean in Ponce Inlet. Man....that's a LONG DRIVE! You got moxy. :D Which Edsel did you buy? One shown here? I have to go look.
    EDIT:
I can't find any red & white 59 Edsel on here. Where and how did you find it, Tim? Sure would like to see it!

That would be a fun Man-Holiday. You could hit the 4 yards that DVAP owns, near Phoenix, AZ and whatever that Ford yard has, and I'll bet you'd still have more cash left over than going to the Casinos in LV.

    More Edsel Info and Trivia

If you were coming back via North Dakota, you could stop in at the Edsel King's farm, and pick his brain. He's got 226 Edsels!

Pennsylvania's Edsel Prince had 160, but he closed down in 2006:

So Walker continues being the King:

Tons of links here (the link to the links on my first post wasn't that obvious)
    http://edsel.net/links.html

And of course, this is worth repeating, because the ND guy has his cars registered there:

And a story about Edsel, KY:

What might be handier is calling Edsel World in Fort Myers, FLA:
