About 13 or 14 years ago, I went to some hole in the wall used car lot looking for a '75 to '78 Country Squire. This place WAS in Rockford, IL, I think it was near the airport. This guy had a bunch of off the wall cars and asking WAY WAY too much for wrecks. I mean, $10,500 for a rusty and worn '78 Lincoln Mark IV Diamond Jubbile Edition in 1996ish?

He had a line of Town Cars in back, Collectors Edition, Williamsburg, and a few others. Then there was this cream/yellow Lincoln wagon. I had never seen one before like that. It was a full size Ford/Merc wagon section with roof rack. This thing was rotten, to the point the frame was buckling under the drivers side. I wish I had taken pictures of it. It was decked out to the max, quad 8 track, auto climate, CB style mobile phone, leather, moonroof, 460 cid, HD trailler tow pack, just the works.

I have never seen one since, other than some small random pictures on the web.

From the looks of the rust on the one shown via the link provided above, maybe it's the same car!:yup:

Sorry SF, I should have stated it clearer. The Lincoln wagon was NEVER a Ford production car, from what I have found in books and by other Lincoln collectors. It was a aftermarket conversion. I don't know who did it, I have no numbers, what years they where done.....

Wow, that could be its twin, well almost. But I don't remember the spare tire on the tail gate and there was no half top on it. Also the qrt's where gone on the one I saw. I would think from a leaking roof rack?

Heck, for all I know, it got wrecked in the 70s and parked in a swamp by the looks of the car I remember.

i wonder what a lincoln from the 90's would look like as a wagon?

those 70's ones are nice (except for the continental kit).

MMMM, the '91 to '97 Town Car? Guess you could use a '79 to '91 LTD portion wagon back and the Town Cars already have the horizontal lamps......if done right, I'm sure it would look really nice.

Closest you'll get is to look up some recent Hearse conversions. Overall, they don't look too bad.
