The motor alone is worth that. But why did he put in 2 passenger seats instead of a full 60/40? Now there is a stupid looking gap between them and no arm rest.

I can't figure out why this car hasn't sold. I was into the car just as I got my Cappy. The guy was trying to sell it over at impalass for $1500 OBO. It has a 454 but not finished. I'm amazed that that car has not sold. I would buy it if it were within a few hundred miles of me. I think it could be a real winner with a little work! It's a steal.
    EDIT:
I just wrote to the guy. I'm glad KK posted it here....I didn't know it was still for sale. I know this is a cobbled wagon at this point but I sure do see a beauty in the making with changes and work. And money. Dayum! Wish I could figure a way to get that car here without spending a fortune. I would really, really love to have this wagon. I could and would do wonders with it. I was waiting to bid on my Cappy and talking to this guy at the same time. If I had not won the Cappy I would have owned this one right now. Wonder if I could turn it into a driver real quick so I could drive it back? Sounds like it would be an easy thing to do. But....then I would have to fly there with no tools etc, etc.....What a bummer. I want that wagon.

Uhaul rents car trailers. As long as you can find/have something to pull it with, it shouldn't cost too much.

    Fox,
    I'll talk you down...

I wonder why this guy would put all this work and money into this project and then bail on it when it seems so close to being finished.
Must be more to the story.
It is cheap enough to maybe take a chance on, but getting to you would be expensive, and no guarantees of a good outcome.

Plus, you want a good daily driver, and engine swap cars usually have a lot of gremlins to work out before you can rely on 'em.

That ought to do it! :tiphat:

LOL....you're right, Wix. But I know these particular wagons and engines backward and forward. Not much that I couldn't do quickly. I do love these box wagons with BB's in them. But, still....you are right...lots of things I would change around and I really need to work on my Cappy.

Yeah, it does look stupid.....Sh**, I guess I should update my pesonal pics. I took pics of my wagon after I put the buckets in but never took a pics a couple weeks later after I modified the console with center box at perfect hight for a arm rest.

Nice car, I hate tan with out wood but I'd make due with that one

I am a fan of tan, gold and silver. They are the 3 main colors that show no dirt. I like it without wood. I am getting tired of looking at all the peeling wood on my 2 Roadies, time for a new look and do a wood delete mod.

I agree, Blackie. That's why I went for the Cappy. No wood and it doesn't have the wide chrome strip around the bottom that keeps shedding the rubber molding. You could take the rubber off and leave the chrome like some guys do. It's easier than filling all the holes etc. The Cappy chrome is just glued on....makes it a lot easier. Whatever you do, I know it will be a good job.

Not to mention it has a SUNROOF!

That has to be a rare option.

Yeah....the guy never got back to me....I'm sure it's long gone. Wish people would take off their ad when they sell the car.
