Just wanted to introduce myself. I am Shawn Herrera from San Jose, CA. My newest ride is a 61 Parkwood. Though a dedicated Impala guy with a collection of convertibles, I decided to make a Parkwood my daily driver and business car. It will be a change from my conservative Range Rover but it will be fun to introduce my business colleagues to my car lifestyle. The car is being finished at Pete's Car Shop with updates to be a daily business car (GPS, audio, sound dampening, climate control, suspension, rims, etc.) Looking forward to getting tips and chatting with you guys and gals. -Shawn
Hey Shawn, Sounds like a great wagon you have. I like that you are going to be driving it every day. Very cool. David
to the wagon train, nak. Sounds like a nice wagon getting nicer. Pete's is a great place and your car will undoubtedly be a winner when finished.
ok pics of the 61 Here is how I bought the wagon... Though I do like wire wheels, air bags, and such on my weekend cards, I did not want to go this way on my daily driver. That would be just too much for my colleagues and business customers. The wires are getting replaced with Coy C5s and bags are getting replaced with slightly lowered suspension. I will take some more picture at the garage and post those as the wagon develops. Thanks for the interest gents... NAK8
Beautiful '61 Chevy wagon! I agree with you, Shawn, that the wheels are a bit much, but I'm sure you will make looks even better than it already does. David
Welcome to the forum, Shawn. I love those '61 Chevy wagons - much nicer styling than the '62 - '64's.
my co worker just picked up a almost rust free 61 wag too ! I like the wires on a 61...but its gotta be 'draggincraplo' for me nice purchase !! to the Garage Majhal for longroofs
