Yeah, I saw it on TV last night so I looked it up.
I was surprised at how excited Clarkson was about driving it. Looks like he had a blast out on the runway. You won't get performance and handling like that in an SUV.
Chalk up another point for wagons over SUVs.

I saw it too and the show can be so silly!

I don't for one second believe these guys can drive like this!

Ever notice that you never actually see them driving the cars? Yea, you see them in the cars with the cameras looking right at them but as you see the cars spinning around you never actually see them!

It's all just fancy editing in my opinion!

It's a very entertaining show don't get me wrong and I watch it all the time but I find most of the segments just plain silly and the British humor is just so dry & stale!

Fake or not, I love British humor and its at the top of the list of my top 5 favorite shows to ever be on TV. I literally laugh my head off with every show several times per episode. Where else can you get cool cars and great humor in the same hour?

I grew up with British humor, with half my family being from England.
The Monte Python shows and movies were obligatory.

I disagree about being fake for the most part. Clarkson is certainly the better driver of the three, and he is seen driving more aggressively. It is possible that some of the footage really had The Stig at the wheel once the editors made their cuts.

Clarkson is no doubt very visible while driving the Ariel Atom throughout the footage.
