I've driven by this thing many times on the way to visit a customer of ours in south central Michigan. It has been sitting in a field for a long time. Price seems wildly optimistic given how rough it is. https://www.facebook.com/marketplac...wse_serp:ce0b0d59-89be-4b79-bf0d-aa0cb52c89ef
Some people are still stuck in 2022 where you could throw any pile of crap for sale on the internet and it would sell for a million dollars. Who knows what's even left of the frame on this after sitting in that field for so long.
I don’t think being a Texas car matters much if it’s been sitting in Michigan for the last 45 years….
Seller is hyping in the text about all the desirable 'extras' he's got piled up for it, but his price is way out of line for the wagon itself. Those 'extras' don't add up to the extra $7,000 he's charging..... Unless he gets more reasonable, it's going to be sitting some more. He MIGHT get somebody to tell him, "When you're ready to deal around $3,000, let me know......"
Knocked her all the way down to $8k. Will not last at that price! He knows what he has. No low-ballers. https://www.facebook.com/marketplac...wse_serp:5dd4aa07-ca3d-4ab7-928c-f7fd8bfd9132
It wouldn't pay to spend anything on it whatsoever. It's an organ donor body shell usefull for swapping out a rotten body. I once swapped out a rotten Michigan 4-door sedan '56 Chevrolet Bel-Air body for an identical Tennessee body shell from either a 150 or 210 and then swapped all of my trim onto it, basically making it a Bel-Air. If only the floors on that wagon are rotted, it'll still be worth it for someone doing a swap. The drivetrain's still in there, windfalling the loss somewhat. For something that old, those floorpans aren't really that bad. There might even be original-like stampings available for welding in?
