Hows it going everyone. I've got a '66 Impala wagon that I'm slowly working on as a project car. The good news is the interior is actually in pretty decent shape - original carpet still looks good and I want to keep it that way while I'm working on the car. Since I'm not driving it much yet (still sorting out some mechanical stuff), I'm looking for some quality floor mats to protect the floors during the restoration process. You know how it is - getting in and out while working on things, moving parts around, the occasional dirty shoes from being under the car, etc Anyways, would sedan floor mats fit the wagon, or do I need wagon-specific ones?
Are you looking for basic parts store rubber mats? Or are you looking for vehicle specific carpeted mats?
Thanks! I wanted the custom ones form my exact year. I posted this a month ago and had do my own research since no one replied before you haha I actually found kind of what I envisioned, LLoyd carpet cut to my exact year model (they indicated station wagon) with a bow tie logo. Ideally I wanted rubber mats with the logo (thought maybe Impala logo), but the only option I found was carpet + Bow tie logo, which is not bad anyway. They haven't arrived yet, but they should look very nice In case anyone needs, here's the link https://www.carid.com/chevy-impala-floor-mats/
Right on. I had mats made for the Fury and they had the right FURY script on them which was pretty cool. They were carpet also. Do you have photos of the mats in your car?
