"Lipstick" interior, although I've never seen dark over white, it was usually white over dark.

I think Lipstick Marks stopped with IV. You could order a bright red color from ‘77-‘79, but it was a special order color in combination with the “white interior luxury group” this particular car is a Cordovan luxury group car. By the late ‘70’s they had a ton of variety “group” and series cars available.

This month's Classic Cars by Hemmings has a good article on the history of the Designer Series Marks.

Is that online? Or do I have to hunt up a copy somewhere?

Cool, thank you. I used to subscribe to HCC years ago. One of the things I was forced to give up on ten years ago, was my mag subscriptions.

ITs my only subscription. I like it as it has so many different cars/articles. Not just 57 Chevys or 35 Fords etc.

Try your local library. Ours carries Hemmings.
