Why go to the expense of replacing the woodgrain vinyl and not do it correctly? The white paint showing through the cut outs around the door handles and gas filler are glaring. Also a repaint without repairing body damage. If done correctly, they could have added value to the car. As is, the money was spent for nothing IMHO.
Agreed. The woodgrain didn't extend into the door handle recesses, but they were spot-painted in a tan color to 'disappear' into the woodgrain appearance. Would have taken about 5 minutes on each door and bit of drying time to do it right. I suspect someone didn't really care.
Yes, it looks terrible. I think the only chance they will have for a buyer is someone who does not know that the car is not supposed to be that way
My guess is they didn't know or realize until it was already in process or too late. It doesn't look THAT bad. The fuel filler door looks the goofiest. I bet you could mask off the woodgrain and shoot the white with some tan/brown paint and nobody would ever know.
