Well, at least Cardiff-by-the-Sea is a legit surfer's hangout (I used to surf there) so having a wagon with a surfboard is acceptable and not merely showing off. I used to have a board hanging out of the back window of my '67 Catalina wagon when I went surfing down there.

One of the BAT comments said the surfboard to be accurate, should be mounted rear forward, so the wind dosent get under it.

If I remember, pictures of those surfer wagons back in the 60s basically they had no rear window and they stuck the surfboard in the back. Probably didn’t want to go out and get roof racks

And the vintage Jacobs surfboard IS included in the sale. First time I've heard of that happening. 4 days to go. Bid currently around $32k - still reasonable. Still has the flathead. Still has the 3-speed manual. Electrical system has been switched to 12V.
