1979 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe for sale on BaT Auctions - ending September 3 (Lot #83,374) | Bring a Trailer I always wondered who would have bought one of these and not a Mark V?
I don't get why. The Mark V was superior in every way. Or at least that's how my 17 year old self studying brochures and specs and having driven both felt... I mean I drive a Mark VIII daily so maybe I'm biased...
As someone who owns both, the Mark certainly has more sizzle, but as far as any passenger room, and especially trunk capacity the TC has it all over the Mark. The trunk space in the Mark is pathetic by comparison. They both have hood for days, but I think as far as practical square footage, the Coupe is a bit more passenger and cargo friendly. As my mother used to say the Town Coupe owner was probably quiet money.
