I sure would. Doesn’t look like he’s that interested in. It would be terrible if this one got away? And he was like well I didn’t know. Go after it!

He's getting up there in years, so I just don't think he uses it anymore. I'm getting his phone number. I'll let you all know how it pans out.

That's good enough to get into a Ford truck commercial........

I know Ford has a 'Ford owner magazine' (on-line), and they accept some reader-submitted articles for publication. You should write to them about your grandpa's pickup.

Holy cow! Your grandfather's truck looks amazing after that detailing! I'm sure he'd be very proud that you're taking such good care of it like that. Good on ya'! (y) If only I had my grandfather's 1968 Charger...

I sent away for a Marti Report on Grandpa's truck and it arrived today. It's pretty neat how much info you get and how they break it down to show you how common, or rare, your particular vehicle is.
According to research on the inner webs, FoMoCo light-duty F-Series sales topped 500,000 units for the first time in 1969. My Grandpa's truck being one of them. Turns out that out of that 500K+, 79,707 trucks came with the 360-2V and automatic tranny, Grandpa's truck being one of them. And out of that only 439 came with the same paint and trim codes as Grandpa's truck.
So, it's actually kinda rare. Not that it adds monetary value or anything like that, it's still pretty freakin cool.
