    That "Sport" was included in the official name for this Impala is kind of hilarious, and also that it was really a hardtop rather than sedan.

    Man that’s a lot of acreage without the body side moldings. They probably got ditched at the repaint.

    Guess the name “Sport” sedan makes sense though. I had a ‘66 Impala Sport sedan. Meant just a hardtop then too. Never thought of these as “sporty” even in ‘66. I get the oxymoron of a sedan badge on a true hardtop. Guess “Sport Sedan” has a better flow than “Sport Hardtop “ it’s all about the sizzle!

    Sounds about right. From the photos we have the paint job is one thing that looks pretty good. Lot of area in the interior is covered up.
