Spartan, I am really psyched for you and your project. That'd be great if you get it all done, or at least a lot done, by the reunion this Summer. I'm sure your family will flip out!! You're getting some great tips and I hope they work for you.
Do me a favor and let me know how your hunt for weatherstripping goes. I thought mine had finally ended a few months ago, but after I ordered them and they arrived, they were for a 92 Grand Marquis; they didn't even make wagons in '92. Anyway, let me know if you have any success and the best of luck to you. Seems like you have a great starting point.

Man, I can't believe I missed this! I think it's fantastic that you were able to find a car that fit your needs. That is going to be one heck of a surprise at the family reunion.
Thanks for sharing the adventure so far and be sure to keep us updated on your progress as you go along.

I missed this one also...you have a great adventure planned! when you drive it to the reunion you should have a family picture on the dash with your parents in it! be prepared to video everyones expressions when they see it!

It will be this one... It's the only one I could find with the actual car in the background. This would have been Easter of 1984 - we had just gotten the wagon and drove it from Detroit to my grandparents in Myrtle Beach. I'm the punk in the striped shirt.

Will for sure have a camera going when my Dad walks out...
