Looks like the seller replaced the shifter and I kinda don't like the reupholster, but love the color. Needs to have the big "Marquis" plaque emblems added onto the rear fenders. What a rare car, and I'll bet it's a hoot. You'd probably be snappin' motor mounts left and right with these(a problem on these) This would be a good car for Bill Mercman..... https://www.hemmings.com/auction/1967-mercury-marquis-591051
Agreed. Love the color, and bet it moves like an ape. That interior also agree. Barf!!!!! But Mr Mercman has moved up town to what some of those ‘67 Marquis buyers bought next …… 1973 Lincoln Continental. This is truly a lovely 37,000 mile car and is sporting a truly quintessential 1970’s green. Love the car.
Probably some time in June. That’s when the expected date is. Of course with her size it may have to be delivered C-section.
I'm not so sure about that color *squints at paint* But I'm all about the living room with a steering wheel....
Haha. Not sure what car color you’re referring to. They both are certainly period pieces in their own right. But thats why I think I love them even more. Where would you ever hearing of someone ordering a Lime Gold metallic Lincoln? There were certainly I think a fair share of these ordered in White, dark blue, black and silver. This car reminds me of the guy who wore a flowered jacket with his tuxedo pants. Not a thing most would do, but whimsical none the less. I like having’60’s and ‘70’s cars where the question usually pops up kinda early. What do you call that color?
Lime Gold Metallic is what GM called that. But it'll be interesting to decide the door plate, find it on that year's color chart.
Sorry. The Lincoln color was “Brite” Lime Gold moon dust Metallic. Think that is what Lincoln called it too. Color code 4U
Cool car. I don't really understand the red accent on the instrument panel. Second car we've seen for sale recently that had that. The other was either a Falcon or Nova wagon. The bottom looks like somebody just fogged over dirt and grease with black paint.
That’s what makes this hobby so great. I’ve got a friend that is an absolute fiend for 4 door stripper Ramblers with dog dish wheelcovers. Like his, and like them in general, probably wouldn’t own one. His monkey his circus.
Right? You can just hear the hurtful and insidious remarks hurled behind Gloria’s back when she was the first one to leave the bridge group at the country club. She sure wants people to notice her in that huge rolling lime! My dad alway used to say, if you can’t say anything nice about someone, join my mothers bridge club.
100% this. This is why I like cars that are older than the late '90s and early '00s. Because you could get color combos and options that may or may not interest you, but interest someone else. Made the cars stand out a bit more and be a bit more recognizable than the same white and silver cars everyone else drives.
