Well I think/hope it’s slowing down on mediocre offerings. I think things that are still low mileage pristine offerings will still do well until they cycle out. We’ve seen ‘30’s-early ‘50’s woody wagons languish on here. 10-15 years ago those would summarily bring a hundred grand. Those as discussed may be past their audience. Our driving’70’s and ‘80’s woodies may most likely get there when those who drove and remember them new are in their 80’s and 90’s. I’m kinda glad when junky stuff gets shaken out on the edges. This car started out at $35,000. That’s only cause he saw nice clamshells go for $45,000. Realistically, good ones should still fetch that kind of money. His should not, and the market is telling him so. I had a restoration guy I knew once tell me, “Buy the best example of what you want, drive and enjoy”. This car will eventually sell for what it’s truly worth or until some talented person can buy it cheap enough and restore it to a potential $40,000 car. Good luck to the seller and buyer on this one.

Wait till they get there and inspect it. We may see this one come back around the mountain, unless the guy brought a roll with him and peeled off 9-10 k. I would buy this maybe at 4-5 grand, but I’ve restored stuff before, and it’s way more now than when I did it in the ‘90’s.

4-5 grand doesn’t even buy you a running driving wagon with windows anymore. That’s derby car pricing

True. Just old guy wishing. I would think 9-10 would be rock bottom on this gem.
