About 10-15 years ago there was a guy a mile away from me that 4 of these wagons, they must do good in our Minnesota winter's!
. I always liked those cars and always wanted one ... mainly because of the all wheel drive and the excellent torque 258 cu in 6 engine ... they even used that engine in industry ... such as International Harvester swathers ... run at high rpm and load for years and years. AMC was far ahead of everybody else when this all-wheel-drive came out .... now everybody makes them .
Too bad they couldn't make an electrical system worth a damn. I learned to curse as a child listening to my dad be furious at mom's Eagle leaving him or her stranded yet again with a dead battery or refusal to start.
I always think they have been rear ended when I first look at the back of these. Then I remember they all look that way from the factory!
