Seems to be in decent shape, other than needing head gaskets. Let's hope it wasn't driven overheated. I'd venture there might be room for negotiation on this one......
I was thinking the same thing. Those new tires (you can still see the blue on the whitewalls) and all those new parts might make it a bit tough though. Sometimes owners who dump a bunch of new parts into a car can be a little stubborn with negotiating. Being an Arizona car it should be in pretty good shape. Although, in the picture I can't quite tell if that's a rust hole in the rocker by the rear wheel or if it's just dirt...
I think that is a reflection in the lower trim. The EW's in 78 had a polished trim along the rocker which I think I see under the doors, but it's strange it's missing in other locations like rear quarter, front fenders, and bottom of doors. It looks like someone ordered that specifically as it's odd to see the lack of woodgrain and a 403 in the same package, must have been ordered as a tow mule.
Ah, you're probably right. I totally forgot they had that highly polished trim there. But well, without that trim, at least you know there isn't any rust!
I’ve seen them that way before. It’s simply in base model trim. Much like the later versions you could get a LaSabre Estate wagon or a much more plush Electra Estate. Not sure when they started that though
