327-Powered 1965 Chevrolet Nova Wagon 4-Speed for sale on BaT Auctions - ending October 21 (Lot #57,868) | Bring a Trailer
Now, I got to wondering....... Our family's first station wagon (there were only two) when I was growing up was a '65 Chevy II Nova, powered by a 2-barrel 283 V8, with a Powerglide behind it. I was wondering if the power train in THIS wagon up for sale was available from the factory. The answer? - Yes, it was. You could get a 4-barrel 327 with 250hp, backed by either a 3 or 4-speed manual, or the Powerglide automatic. The Nova was ALSO available in '65 with a 300hp version of the 327, but that engine was not available in the wagons, according to the brochure I read.
