    The '58 arrived today.........some things GOOD.......many things not so much.......

    Motor seems to run strong..........transmission CRAP-O-LA!!!

    couldn't even back it into the garage, I'll have to 'arm strong' it this weekend.

    Body.....workable......

    Floors.......none

    lots of rust along the drip rails......the rest is minor surface rust.

    going to take more work than I had hoped.....but We'll make her a swan !!

    She's sorta already p!ssin' my daily driver off....she took the double carport until I can rally some troops to help me push her back onto the lift to start disassembly !!

    I figure I'll end up trashin' the original tranny and settin' a new 700R4 in there.

    I already have the wiring harness and the disc brake conversion kit......but I'm thinkin' floor repair FIRST.

    That first picture is a nice sight. Reminds me of my first car. I had a '58 Nomad with a 348, 3-Speed.
