Hey Gurus, Couple of items here: I am looking for the stainless screw caps for the 1958 Colony Park woodgrain trim. They are like little buttons that have a backing clip. Any idea what these are called and where I might find them? Also on the same topic, what method is typically used to remove the 62 year old baked on wood grain paneling from the body? This stuff is really on there and I don't really want to try sanding... Also to stay in line with the rules, should I make separate posts for different topics? Have you tried googling "obsolete Ford parts?" There's a few places that deal in NOS stock; one of them is Green Sales Company in Ohio (www.greensalescompany.com), and even if they don't have what you're looking for, they can at least help you identify the nomenclature and part number.
Mike, I was making mention of this section in your "welcome wagon" post, but see you already found it. As far as "rules" go, as Captain Barbossa would say: There aren't really any hard and fast rules. I'd say start a build thread. You can show us your car, tell us what you plan to do and document it as you see fit. Perfect spot to pose questions along the way. You can always start a post for specific questions. It's pretty much up to you.
If you have a sample screw, take one of them to your local NAPA Auto and see if they can match it. I've had good luck getting fasteners for my prior 57 Oldsmobile and my current 63 CS from them. Good luck.
Guys, So I believe I have the screw caps covered from a yard up in Nor Cal. Im still looking for what is the method used to remove the old laminate? Wait, there's more... I have several photos to upload, how and where do I load these to? I guess it worked but would think there an album I can drop progress photos ? Im a car guy not a computer guy. UGH..

What engine and options does it have? I don't know if this will work, but I've used a bath towel and a dry clothes iron to gently heat material glued to the paint, as well as soften the plastic for peeling. Hopefully, this can work for you.
