Cars in the '70s and '80s a lot of times had them in the underside of the front seat, driver's side. But the GM factory sticker with all the build codes should have every marking the build sheet will have, unless your sticker disappeared.

    Thanks,
I had my drivers seat out to repair the motor, and it wasn't there. I'll check a couple of other places. I'm not sure if I have the factory sticker.

I think STH is referring to the SPID label which will have all of the build codes for your car. Decoding them will of course be up to you, but there are plenty of online resources for that. I don't know where the SPID label is on your car. On a sedan it is probably on the underside of the deck lid. Not sure on a wagon.

Build sheets can be all over the place on the car. There is no rhyme or reason to where they may be. Some cars may not even have one in them. If you happen to find it great. It isn't something I would go tearing my car apart to find though.

SPID label, I couldn't remember the term.
