1955 Pontiac 2-Door Wagon NJ C/L (Not a Safari)

This one may be a bit overpriced at $8000 considering the floorboard rust, and overall condition. But it is a very rare Body Style. The seller claims it runs, but is not roadworthy. It does look to have a mostly solid body but hard to be sure from the pictures.

Repro '55-'57 Chevy floor pans should work, for the most part. Pontiacs had a bit longer wheelbase.

 

I looked at a couple of these when I decided to find a longroof. I thought it would have been cool to have a poncho handyman, because I'd see the Tri-Five Chevys' all the time! Good luck to the seller!.....Longroofs Rule! (I'd love to have this as my second wagon in my collection!)

 

V-8, 3-Speed on the Column yet. Cool combination. What an experience driving one. Had the opportunity to drive a '56 once. The Transmissions whine as loud as a Rock Crusher trans (a GM M-22 4-Speed Hi-Performance straight cut gear racing trans, for those not familiar with one).
