Hi guys, just found this forum and thought I would sign up. I have an unexplainable love for wagons, I don't know why but I have always loved the shape and style. I own several now, and cant even count the total number any more. My latest project will be an 83 Chevy Malibu wagon Im gonna put a big block in.

I just love the idea of putting in a BBC in a Malibu estate! I work in a swedish speedshop, and last winter we built a -81 Malibu saloon with a 454, roller cam, dual carbs, and blablablabla.. Everything in a short story.. If you want i propably could fix some pics of the installation.

Pix are always good, I went with the 83 because its the last year or the rear wheel drive and the last year of the Malibu. I really would have liked to have found a 74 AMC sportabout surf surfer but the Malibu is hard enough to come by.

My brother has challenged me to a build off, and I thought I would use a wagon to further embarrass him when its all over.:rofl2: He seems to think that he can build a badder small block then I can build a big block. At the end of 2010 we're gonna race, then we'll see who's really bad!

I would tell you how big :yikes: that big block will be, but I don't want to spoil the surprise later when I post a build thread.

    Welcome ROCK !!!

Jusy bought one myself, a CL with all the goodies. Needs new shoes and a bunch more..But, I'm driving it... I'm looking for a 300hp, to replace the 305. I might even switch over to a Olds motor (don't be hatin!!!). Why not shake things up a little???
You looking for bbc or something more exotic??? Do you have plans for the rear end???
    Good Luck and

Im gonna stay away from the norm a bit on this one, I will not be using a Chevy big block. Don't worry though, I will not commit sacrilege by putting a ford motor in it; it will still be GM! I am gonna use a ford 9" though, I know the stock axle and gearing will not handle what Im planning on throwing at it. I looked at a car today, but I think it's to beat up:cry: If any one has one for sale, Im buying!
