It is beee-yooo-teee-ful, but I don't believe he painted it himself.

I believe you are correct fannie. It was Handy Andy that painted his Fairmont with a roller.

Thank you but I stand corrected. I'm sure why but I always got Stormin Norman and Handy Andy mixed up.

That was an amazing story wasn't it? Wonder what he's up to these days? Last I can remember he was going to reno his house.

Yeah, he was posting, then all of a sudden, nothing. Last he posted was 2 1/2 years ago. His age was listed as 71.

That's right. I couldn't remember for sure, I almost included Stormin Normin. I looked for the post but I couldn't find it. Glad you were able to dig it up.

Yeah. Handy Andy and Stormin Normin were buddies who both happened to own Fairmont wagons and were both members on here. Then they just disappeared. Along with the Rev and a number of other regulars.

I’d say 10 months is pretty quick. We bought an old house three years ago not to flip but to die in and leave to the kids. So far I’ve painted the kitchen... I’ve done a lot of other stuff mostly exterior. I HATE painting. I can’t do it without making a mess. When I was doing maintenance work my boss had me painting a classroom. He knew I always make a mess so he emphasized to PLEASE be careful. I finished the job without one problem. I was so excited I ran back to the office to get him so he could see my meticulous work. As we’re walking and I’m telling him how impressed he’s going to be he just starts laughing. I asked what was so funny and he points to the ground and says “these wouldn’t happen to be your footprints in the same color paint would it?”:dead:

Dad was a Seabee...who detested painting. Because he could type more than 'two-finger hunt & peck,' he opted to be the 'company clerk.'

I actually enjoy painting. I really like the fast reward you get while painting. I painted my kitchen this morning. I'll let it dry over night and see if it needs a second coat in the morning.

Oh no :( I've done this too. I used to paint in my bare feet so I could feel the paint on my feet. So that was a busy day for you. You got an entire classroom paint and the hall floor washed. (y)

You can. I’ve seen lots of cars that look like they were painted with rollers and brushes. It just looks better on a house.

How can you judge, until you've seen a spray-painted house? :scratchchin:
