Last May we decided to purchase another property, fix it up and try to sell it...a flip. This is our second attempt at flipping. Although I'm not sure you can call it a flip because that sounds like something that happens fast. Because we both work full time and can only do the required work on our days off it took us about 10 months to complete. Perhaps it sure be called a "turn".
We find it rewarding to bring these old houses back to life. We do most of the work ourselves. Although professionals are hired where we need them such as an electrician a roofer and a furnace company to insult a new oil tank. I have painted the house inside and out. The exterior was painted twice. One coat of primer and one coat of paint. Hubby helped with the high parts because I was too chicken to climb up two scaffolding levels to get the peaks. Hubby is very handy. He can install dry wall, flooring, windows, light fixtures and is getting really good at plumbing.
It has been a busy 10 months but very satisfying. And this is the reason for my absence. I have posted a few before pictures an if you follow the link you can see the after pictures.

however the garage opening is low. A small car would fit in nicely, my Equinox is to tall.

Interested? Nice summer home in Nova Scotia...

I wish...but I'd have to start saying 'hoose' and such, if I could. Nice basement, though. It's where I'd put my model railroad layout.

BTW, did any of your vehicles get any love during this time, or were they rode hard, put away wet?

:rofl2:The last time I've insulted an oil tank was when I was on my way home from a party and had nowhere else to leak on the way

Very nice Jennifer. It's great that you and your husband enjoy doing these "turns" and that you ultimately make a little money in the process. Thanks for sharing.

    I don't think so.

Who was it that painted their wagon and shared it step by step??? Handy Andy?
