    My family had a ‘72 with the same green interior, but a darker green exterior colour. I learned to drive with the ‘72. Including parallel parking. :eek:

    This wagon looks to be in insanely great condition.

    No reserve. Will try to follow this one, a lovely wagon. I always liked that color. Ford brought back a similar color a few years ago for the Mustang. Maybe around 2010 or so.

    I have this crazy idea to buy this car, fly to California and drive it back to the Great White North, sleeping in the back in Walmart parking lots along the way. I used to sleep in the back of my '64 CS. The '72 is (obviously) spacious enough to sleep comfortably in. Tell me I'm not crazy. Please. :shocked:

    Not a crazy idea, but I think you would be safer in a nice, well-lit rest stop area. Or find a truck stop.....
    If you happen to be coming north from Tracy, CA. on the I-5, I can put you up in a nice warm bed for a night.... Springfield, Oregon. Just under 9 hours travel time, per MapQuest.

    Looks like you need to head east through Reno though....

    You’re seriously looking for someone on this web site to talk you down from buying a wagon? Lol. If the stock market had behaved I would have seriously contemplated buying that car and having it shipped back to New Mexico. We had a ‘72 Grand Marquis that color (New for ‘72) Metallic Lime Gold. Really nice example of what that is. Good luck. I have an Ivy colored ‘71 Country Sedan with that same green interior with 36,000 miles on it. Really like that era of Ford Wagons. BTW. Didn’t see any mention is the a 6-9 pass?
