Car needs love. Could really make a good looking screamer out of this for the right price....the car, not Farrah....

It could be a good project, not really a bad asking price for a running example.

My understanding was that Farrah was already a screamer. But the Mustang could be made one, with a Turbo T-bird 2.3L with the EFI fully intact, and a strengthened 8" or a decent 9" pumpkin out back.

I just looked at the ad. What a damned shame--the owner just let it sit and start rusting away.

It's not too far gone. I think it will take the right person to bring this one back, but I'd say the price is reasonable.
And as hard as it is to believe, someday we'll likely look back and say "I remember when you could buy a running Cobra II for $2,500"

Much as I love Mustangs overall, the M II is my least favorite. I bloody well fit in a Pinto better than these, and it's the same floorpan!:vomito:

    Yeah, I know.
But as I've mentioned before, I like em.

If you could find an old Merkur wreck, the same drivetrain was installed into it, with the exception of the rear axle from the Granada. There might be a Discovery Channel version of this video somewhere: https://www.dmax.de/programme/die-gebrauchtwagen-profis/video/merkur-xr4ti/DCB492320005100

Merkurs are probably almost nonexistent now in the US. Its been years since I have even seen a Capri and they sold in greater numbers. Both were Interesting cars, maybe they were just ahead of their time in the US and they were certainly mishandled by FOMO. Always thought they could have been a lower priced alternate to the 1600 BMWs.
