    Good Morning Longroofers!

I'm new to this forum but have been around cars and wagons specifically my entire life. I'm married 25+ years and have two successful adult young ladies as daughters. I'm a machinist/tooling guy by trade.

I didn't take a serious interest until my 40's when I bought my '65 Catalina Safari in Easley, South Carolina. It's a story in itself! The car belonged to a 90+ yr old WWII Navy Veteran who used it for his upholstery business at a local dealership. A failed nylon/steel timing gear parked it in the early 80's until a buddy found it on Craigslist. It has a 400/400 donated by the '73 Cat pictured below. I use it a lot flag mounted to support the Patriot Guard. www.indianapatriotguard.org.

I've always been partial to '65 Big Pontiacs by default. My dad drove them in the '70s and I was always around or in them. I currently have 5 or 6 of them. Two were saved from the crusher. I've also got a '69 Bonneville 428 4 barrel 9 passenger recently purchased in Wildwood, NJ pictured with a few buddies cars.

I can go on forever with stories! Looking forward to the forum!

Welcome to the forums LNGRF! As mentioned above we all love pictures AND stories that go with them. Feel free to share some at your own discretion! I'm partial to 1960's General Motors Longroofs. I'm in stewardship of a 65 olds custom vista cruiser. Again welcome, and lets here some of those stories!.....Longroofs Rule!

Welcome LNGRF it does seem like stories and pictures are the favorites around here. You have a beauty in that ‘69, and the ‘65. I’ve always liked those big Pontiac wagons as well. I guess growing up watching My three sons and Family Affair made me partial. Lol.

My dear Grizz. I have to take exception to your characterization of our new guy LNGRF as another Old guy full of stories and pictures. . I’m quite sure our newest member has stories. And he obviously has pictures. We’re tickled he’s sharing both. But as someone who’s next Birthday will usher in a new decade, 51 is not an old guy. You get me sonny? Lol. I remember when I was 36 I guess 51 was an old guy. I love to razz. Where did I park my car?
