Nice car but the story behind how it got to this point in time is even better.

Shouldn't the parking lenses be in the grilles next to the headlights?

    Seems fishy.
“Best of the best. Taking a chance with no reserve. No more pictures will be provided.”

If I had this car and it truly is what it is, I would list it with 100 pics to get max money. A special wagon that could and should sell at 3 times the value of a typical nice driver colonnade wagon.

No under carriage pics at all. The exhaust looks large diameter than stock. And this car is not heavily optioned(except am/fm radio and the ralleye wheels that aren’t pictured). And Mopar’s comments above about the parking lense location.

Could the parking light lenses be a Canadian thing? Just fishing for the odd placement. Car seems pretty nice, but as annap01gt says the story, if true is really crazy. It reminds me of the story I heard about a Mark V a guy had a Lincoln meet where the car got stuck in a grain elevator when new, and the car had 136 miles on it in 2016, and it was a ‘78. I guess weird stuff like this happens.

The most probable explanation is that the nose was taken apart for some reason (collision?), and reassembled incorrectly. It DOES look like the outer and 'park lamp' grills are the same shape and size.

This wagon does not ring authentic.

The lights look right, but how does a car that spent most of its life in BC, get towed to Edmonton, end up in Calgary AB AND have Wisconsin plates?

    And no VIN.

    Def shady.

I didn't win the pool. My vote/prediction was between 10 and 15K. Bidding is already at 16.4 this morning. Shows what I know. :hmmm:

Is there anything else unusual and/or fishy that could be discerned from the pics? I don't know the mid sized Wagons of the 70s very well.

The Pin Stripes are odd, I do not remember seeing body line stripes like that before, also the front fender splash shields are not correct, it almost looks like a Cut up Floor mat. Several other things strike me as odd, but I can't say they are not stock. I am thinking it is a well maintained 116,000 mile car with some work done to it. And I am skeptical about the paint being original.

As for plates it seems to have an Alberta rear Plate and a Wisconsin front plate, its not unusual in the US for people to have mismatched state plates if the State they live in does not require a front plate, I have no Idea how Canadian Plate regulations work?

Other than the switched park lamp location, I really don't see anything odd about this one. The color looks like the Firethorn Red that was popular on Firebirds of the day - my sister had one. The stripes might not be original, but it was quite common back in the 70's to do paint or tape accent striping. Heck, on some new-car dealer lots, you would find virtually every new car with some sort of striping and a added sticker for $200 at least. Dealer's cost - about 50 bucks. One thing that I DID take notice on was the dash. Looks like the Grand Prix dash, but I think the 'Grand Le Mans' came with that.
