    I'd sure like somebody to explain why GM had to go to the expense of incorporating louvers into tailgates and trunk lids for one year, before going to a simpler system for air extraction........

    It would be nice if this thread continued on 71-76 clam shell wagons. I have a 1974 Caprice Estate that my dad bought new and left to me in 1993 when my dad passed away. Just slightly over 55,000 miles as of January 2020. Loaded with 400 V-8 four barrel. All original except for the usual wear items. Show the car in memory of my dad and put 500 to 1,000 miles a year on the car going to show events. There are many photos of my 74 on the site. Cheers.
