Just found this website while looking for something else completely unrelated to Station Wagons on google. Since I am an avid fan of all things automotive, I couldn't help myself, but to take a look. I liked what I saw at first glance, so I registered to see the rest of what is lurking behind door 2. I don't quite own a station wagon at present, but my car(s) do resemble station wagons somewhat... some more than others. I can't say how active I will be, but I promise that I will attempt to stop by occasionally, and if I can help anyone with my technical abilities, I will be glad to. I've turned wrenches for over 50 years, so most of my expertise is with the older cars. If it has electronics or a computer, then I leave that to the younger guys that understand those systems.
Hey Junk, we used to call those meatwagons. It qualifies in spades. Glad you came by. Lots of us old-schoolers always looking for other ways.
I will be glad to tell you more about it, but I need to take time to gather my thoughts and put them to words. Please give me a day or two... In the meantime, here are some of the factory photos from when it was new. thanks Junk
Welcome to the site !!! I ran accross an ad for a 71 Full Size Oldsmobile 98 I believe , and its a Hearse ..$500.00 obo .. Cool but ???
Sounds fine to me. Lots of potential for all kinds of ideas. The one thing it won't do is help a guy pickup the babes. They seem to have some resistence to hearses. Probably their nurturing nature. If I had one, I'd take the rollers out and put them in a regular wagon. Handy for hauling plywood, etc. If only for parts, its probably worth every dime.
Welcome Great car. Congratulations. It takes a lot of effort to restore a professional car. Great job!!!!
of course ambulances and hearses are wagons.....usually the last one...but none the less wagons !! I own a 59 International Travelall Amby...its almost a wagon !
