1986 Chevrolet Caprice Estate in Dayton, OH area

I chatted with the owner, really nice guy. He inherited the car and the previous owner “spent a lot of money having it redone before she died”. The paint looks great but it appears the wood grain may have been redone as well and it looks darker in color than it should be.
He has a folder of receipts and picture documenting the restoration.
He said it has 96k miles on it and he thought it had a 350 in it.
A/C does not work but I didn’t get into any other details with him.

I asked for a pic of the SSID sticker. It has the LV2 Olds 307, and a non-posi 2.73 rear end. I told him I would pass as it’s 3 hours from me.

Yesterday I picked up the car at the shipping dock. Its in stunning condition. The lady that passed away spent 20.339$ on the restoration in 2013.
Other then a few mechanical touch ups this car is good for another 34 years.

 

Congratulations Jofo ! Your wagon would be a head turner here in the U.S. Can only imagine the attention it receives in the Netherlands.
