Wow. Looks like they just brought it home. This Mercury just hits me the right way even though it may need ac work. Owners statement that the ac is "all hooked up" I interpret as sales speak that the mechanicals are there but no, it does not work. Second, did not see any engine bay photos. Not relevant to the car but when did car people forget how to spell "brakes" correctly ?

That’s a really nice looking CP. the rear bumper looks odd. Is that a lighting issue, or reflections? Looks like the bumper has some ridges in it.

Good eye 60Mercman. Not an expert on 70s CPs by a long shot, but now that you have pointed it out, that rear bumper does not look right. Maybe some CP owner can advise.

I have a few of these ‘70’s LTD and CP wagons. I took a look at the video, it appears that there is some type of chrome sheet overlay on the bumper. Those tended to rust along the bottom, and at the corners by the bumper guards. If I were bidding on this car I would ask Mitch to send me some detail pictures of the rear end.

There is definitely something stuck on the outside ends of that rear bumper. No indication of 6 0r 8 passenger but the presence of the extra rubber step in the tailgate opening implies DFRS, although that has seemed to be random. Agreed, why no engine pics but the car looks to be in great shape. Yes, take the Cragars off.

    No DFRS per seller.

Possibly, but it does not have the DFRS which is a negative. Ebay currently lists $6109 offer and 8 bids so there is real interest. My guess is that bidding ends at around $8500 - but I am seldom right.

I’m guessing the reserve is north of $10k and bidding might get there.

That is a nice car. Glad they saved the original wheels and wheel covers. It would nice to see what those wheel covers look like. The luggage area is pristine. You can tell that never was used as a hauler.
