Hey everyone! Glad to be here! I have enjoyed this wonderful place so far. I just bought two 1976 Chrysler, Town and Country Limo Station Wagons. They were air port limo's. They need a lot of (restoration) work but it should be fun if we can survive the experience. They have 440' running on propane. I am not sure if I like the propane as we will have to drive some thing else in the cold part of the winter so the propane won't liquify (we can get to minus -70F here). Any how it will be fun putting some life back in these old wagons. :icon_drive: Looking forward to hearing from you all. Thanks, Jason
Welcome Jason! I live in Winnipeg, where we get down to -50C (-60F). Most of our cabbies run LPG or LNG. LNG might be an easy swap.
Welcome! I am so glad that someone is saving an airport limousine. I always thought that they were fascinating, and when they disappeared from the airports, I worried that they were gone for good. Congratualtions on a unique car, and what an easy car to get in and out of!!!!!
Can you imagine the plywood industry, if more people had one? They could make a 5' X 16' sheet of sheathing for DIYers! You know something, if more people had big wagons, maybe the birthrate would go up. Today's expensive puddle jumpers just aren't practical for having a big family, let alone starting one.
Make up a taxi sticker for the windshield. They never check if the guy has the small taxi plate on the back. In his case that would mean a loooong walk for someone to check.
Probably needs a telephoto lens or a satellite image! Here, they'd make Party wagons out of them. Especially if they're all geared up for LPG already. They sure sound like a lot of fun.
