Mad Mad Mopar Maniac

Howdy folks the names Pete.........I am in Louisville, Kentucky and I am a Mopar nut from the word go. I have two 64 Valiants, the more door is my girls car..typically 170 slant with the pushbutton, 3:23 7 1/4 axle..........my car is a two door factory 8 clylinder car, currently a 318, 4 speed over drive. I am looking for a early 60's Mopar wagon, hopefully with a big block...it will be my daily and weekend cruiser while I finish up my car. I have to sell my daily to obtain a wagon......still working on that aspect.....I am a teacher, grandfather and in a car club called the Falls City Fantoms.........anyway thanks for letting come along for the ride.............

Welcome Pete. Nice pair of Valiants you've got there. How does your daughter like it? I'm sure she either loves it or hates it, am I right. There was a posting today or yesterday with a link to 2 1965 Plymouth wagons for sale on Craig's list. You might want to take a look.

If you're into 64 Valiants, and want a wagon, then why not just get a 64 Valaint wagon? This one on Craigslist was the closest I saw to where you are. Its in Tennesee.
I don't know about a big block though. A 340 would be plenty powerfull and could be made to fit much easier, and would be easier on the gas. But maybe a new style 5.7 Hemi would be a better choice. For now it looks like it has the leaning tower of power under the hood.



But, if you prefer the B-body wagons and have a bit more money, than this 64 Dodge 440 wagon in Michigan might be worth the trip, The 440 wagon was the top of the Dodge B-body wagon lineup as there was no Polara wagon in 64. This one is a trophy winner the ad says.

But then, if you like Mopars from the late 50's just as well as the early 60's, and you have a little more cash and don't mind a solid project car, then this 59 Plymouth wagon in California might be just the ticket. But then, its a six cylinder car. The ad says its all new paint and he has every part, but that interior upholstery would need to be used to make patterns for new upholstery and door panels. Bit more of a project than I would want though, and I would want to make sure all the parts are on hand if they aren't on the car.
