Who'd of guessed that Datsun could make a box look good like that Skyline. That is a nice looking car.

I'll be going to the Japanese Classic Car Show this weekend. I'll be sure to take some pics for you guys!

(i know, a lot of people dont think of Japanese cars as classics...but there seems to be a growing community)

I should have plenty of wagon pics from the show. If anyone wants a special request pic, give me the make and model and I'll try to find one at the show and snap some shots :) Remember...Japanese makes only :p

Goki, how long have the Japanese been building cars and small trucks. I know they built large trucks long ago, but the smaller ones?

    Yeah - I've got a request --- Mazda RX4's -
My first new car was a '74 RX4 sedan, and I also owned a RX4 wagon.
There's some guy in the south bay with a real nice RX4 wagon - maybe he'll be at the show......in fact it may be my old car - who knows?

The first Japanese car dates back to 1917 Mitsubishi built their first car. Other companies followed in the subsequent years. In 1956, first Japanese car sold in USA..I believe it was a Toyota Crown.

Only thing i can think of Ford in Japan was buying 25% stake of Mazda (formerly Toyo Kogyo Co.) in 1979.

    OR

Ford sets up shop in Berlin, Germany in 1925.
