    Even as far gone as this one is, I've still seen worse. I once posted a Chevy (if I remember right) that had a head on and it was parked in the weeds for probably 20+ years.

    Once again, I'll say that I can't believe that derby organizers let these things run. They'll clobber anything in their path - kinda unfair advantage, so to speak.

    Nah.. suicide Lincoln's and Chrysler Imperials even a well built mid 70s Caddy will destroy a clamshell... though they hold their own just fine..

    I'm kinda waiting for the day it's economically viable for derbyists to just build a derby car in style of one of these Clam wagons instead of smashing what original cars are left to bits.

    A purpose built derby car? I like that idea. Kind of puts everyone at a even level. This way the guy with the ratty 94 Dodge Intrepid wouldn't be totally outclassed by one of these Clam shells or their Mopar cohorts. But then we could call it the "Car of tomorrow" like NASCAR.....
