Now located phantomly somewhere in this parking lot:

 

City of Beverly Hills Water Treatment Plant No. 1, 333 South La Cienega Boulevard, Los Angeles, 1928

 

Wilshire Blvd looking east towards La Brea, 1954. The E. Clem Wilson building at La Brea and Wilshire, which was built in 1929 is supposedly still standing

Irvin Sachs New and Used Car lot located at 2535 North Broad St. in Philadelphia, PA.


Amazingly the buildings have survived with additions to the garages on the left-hand side of the property and the lot is still in use in the automotive trade. Today the Matrix Auto Canter a “10-minute oil change” business that also performs “Body Fender & Frame Work” is located there.

 

Houlton, Maine

 

The Blackstock Lumber Co. building visible on the far left of the picture was established in 1912 and the property was sold recently after the Company closed. The Lumber store location apparently was at 1039 Elliot Ave. West which is about three miles northwest of the center of the City in the West Queen Ann neighborhood.

 

Walter E. Allen’s Chrysler-Plymouth Dealership was located at 13th St and North Harvey Ave in Oklahoma City, OK.



How it looks today:

 

Boy Orthmann. You sure made me sad today. There isn’t an after picture you showed that didn’t make me long for the before time. Going to hell in a handcart.
