Hello All! I like to share this journey to recover and improve my Parkwood wagon. The rear half of the frame was not recoverable and it was easy to decide to remove it. This gave me an opportunity to improve the driveline and the overall safety. 0263F27C-4F87-4663-A4CB-646DED10CC5A.jpeg 56A6449E-C1D4-4750-8C3F-DB8BAF1C17DE.jpeg 226EC506-86B0-43FD-A43A-A96A16AF118D.jpeg E3504B9C-D80F-4A64-9B90-DE7FBC38C419.jpeg 3AFEC854-CD5A-48C4-A213-D9DE7722F4DB.jpeg 7E34AB19-4A2F-4B19-AD22-7F1D54B882EB.jpeg 4C7D4B64-8362-4DE9-8BF6-4EA52FEEFDFC.jpeg 99FC3D74-2E0E-49CA-B805-E294AE06E044.jpeg CBF04041-8947-4EC1-83B7-BAB2D83033AA.jpeg 657B8187-1960-4F15-B16D-2D49CC4777B1.jpeg

Man, that was pretty crusty! Looks like you are doing some pretty substantial modifications. Is that a 4 link going in?
Just a little more rust repair to do in the rear and you'll be on your way to cruising in style!

C4 rear with Posi. I’m using the stock corvette dog bones for the 4 link setup. I think in time if\when I need to better fine tune I will replace the dog bones with heim joint setup.

    Nice!
You apparently don't do anything 'halfway'....just an observation.

Wagon Man: I did look to remove the tunnel, but settled with keeping it. I thought it would add too many hours and a little more complication. The metal is in good condition and just needs to be wire brushed. At this point I need to start wrapping this up

Been slowly making progress on this project. The rear frame modifications are nearly completed with minor tag on items. The suspension setup for air system and bags. 5-6” ride height and slammed @ 0 psi .

Picture is mocked for 0 psi. The tires are tucked high.

4 link setup works smooth with no binding. I did have bidding issues and corrected problems related to the control arms not being the same length.

    Getting there.

Awesome build you got going! I didn't see this thread when you started it in 2018, looks like it will be bad a$$ when you get wrapped up. Do you think you'll have it ready for spring? Can't wait for more pics.....Longroofs Rule!
