Dad told me about the Vietnamese who would collect up American beer cans to cut up and place into the main and rod bearings of a car engine, rather than buying bearings and having the crank machined.

A couple of your dad's cans might be mixed into some of those pots. Who knows.
Did you know that Chevy offered a 409 bored and stroked to displace 427 cubic inches?

Not this one, though. It's an early NASCAR delivery:

Went to pick up some 44+ year old magazines from Craigslist. The seller was driving a 67 Mercury Monterey.

The lower left corner in the last photo probably shows a reflection of my fingers holding the cell phone.

The car had lap belts in 4 spots.

I agree! The seller of the magazines clearly has good taste in automobiles.

This poor old Plymouth has been sitting in the same spot for years. It used to have a "for sale" sign in the windshield, but it finally disintegrated. We were at a car dealership's community BBQ on Sunday, which was right across the street from where this car sits. I figured I would go and check it out. Looks like it's a pretty solid car.

We had a '66 Galaxie 4-door sedan. I always loved the front and rear treatments, even over the other mid-'60s Galaxies. I honestly wish Ford had run it for more than one year.

The owner probably kicked. If you could quietly get a forklift over there and a couple boards of wood, I'd try first moving it over in front of those trucks and see what the truck owner tries doing about it. If he has it towed away and impounded, you could then inquire about it and then put a claim on it. After a certain amount of time, they might release it to you, as long as you pay them impounding fees

There used to be quite a few classic automobiles for sale along that fence. But over the years they have disappeared, one by one. This is the only one left.
They used to be in another part of the yard, but were moved to this spot, I assume, to be seen better by potential buyers.
