I agree about the rust. That's the worst kind of rust to see.

The interior is sure nice, though.

I like one of his shots of the car as it was found in the barn because it reminds me of one of the photos the seller sent to me when I was buying the '73 Custom Cruiser I used to own. I don't have the car anymore, but I do still have the photos.

32,000 miles. What a tragedy. That is such a nicely loaded car. Wish the 2nd guy that bought it/ stored it had been a better steward of that car.

I guess I’ve lived in the Southwest too long. 25 years ago while I was in Chicago, I might have even gotten excited about this car. If you can keep em out of the sun here they are still really nice. Can’t imagine the effort you’ll need to turn a bolt on that under carriage, even after a 4 day of WD 40 soak.

Slow bidding. $2650 and reserve not met. That rust is killer.

The mirror looks dull as dishwater too. The rest of the chrome, and bumpers are pretty retched too.

    • Well. As thought we are at $4,300 with 3 hours to go, and reserve not met.... you might have guessed. He did add some notes on 6/23, which should assist in the sale of this lill bute. Carburetor rebuild and pumpkin oil changed out. The biggest news is that its painted in a very rare b5 Cream color. So rare color not even on EBay. Oh, and the car does have the magic 3 way tailgate. I couldn’t tell by the pictures if the Dr. had ordered that option. But then I reread the auction itself, and saw where it had every option available. It’s good to know it’s equipped with that tailgate. I would bet when your ordered the 400 motor, biggest at the time they may have added the 3 way magic tailgate in a package deal. I think half of Squires I remember as a kid were that rare cream color. Also if I remember correctly I think most of them came with the magic 3 way tailgate. He gets dumber by the minute. Good luck dumping that rare cream puff turd. Don’t get me wrong I really love what that car was. But he’s working that thing like a proud daddy of a really fat daughter at the dance. Somebody will take it, just not because of all your hype.

Don't believe it. Who would pay $6300 for that?

Any bets on how soon it reappears?

What’s tomorrow’s date? Whoever he got to bid it up to $6,300, that was a clever ploy to show his reserve price. No he can re-list it with. BIN of $6,200 and complain how the buyer was a dead beat.

The 3-way 'Magic' tail gate was STANDARD on the big Ford wagons back then.

Sorry for the apparent bad sarcasm. If you read his notes of 6/23 he mentioned that it was a rare b5 Cream color NOT- rare at all. Then he mentioned it also had the 3 way magic door gate. It was an ah-dah moment for me cause as you stated this was true on all ‘69-91 full size Ford wagons.
