We've actually had advertised car shows or cruise nites with less than four cars. I'd call that a car show at work.

My wife's Aunt and Uncle gave us this 70's vintage radio flyer. Brought it home this past Friday. I thought it was fun to have a wagon in the wagon.

We had the first cruise night of the summer on Saturday evening. It was in downtown Selah this month, which was a change, but there was a nice turnout.
Nathaniel snapped a few photos from the passenger's seat.

And then Caleb snapped a few from the way back.

The weather was perfect. We had a nice time.

The car culture in the Yakima Valley is actually pretty diverse and almost every weekend there is something going on. Much of it is sponsored by a club or organization but open to pretty much anyone who likes automobiles. We participate in quite of few of them during the summer and always have a good time.

Indeed. Mine has removable sides. Although they’re too big for it now I still keep it around 7E3D5DE0-6581-4A32-9069-C77323FB9718.jpeg

That’s so funny seeing these Radio Flyer wagons. I still have mine as well from kid days. That must have been one of the first signs that we were car/wagon nuts.

Back when I was young, my brother and I shared a Radio Flyer. After we adopted our grandson in 1988 I saw a used one advertised in a small paper. After our son stopped using it down in Florida, I used it like a wheel barrow or utility trailer. I pretty much wore it out ------ and me---- so I left it behind near a fire ant hill.
I thought they were antiques and paid as much as a nice shiny new one cost.

No one I knew had a Radio Chief. I believe those were only bought by the wealthy southern boys.:rofl2:

We had one with removable wooden sides growing up. I can remember playing with it and being pulled around. My pop kept it in the basement and it slowly rotted away. I got the chief at a swap meet. I’ve never seen them either but it’s really neat. The front and sides come out. My wife was pissed I paid $100 for a rolling tetnis cart. I actually talked the guy down quite a bit. Plus a new one cost more and comes with less character. Sometimes I get sick of saying “I told ya so!”:tiphat:

I've discovered after many years of marriage.......... some happy .......... that it's difficult figuring women out. Many years back, while living in Florida, my wife actually told me we should buy a modern copy of a pedal dump truck for $50 which was at a car show. If I'd drug that thing home without her there I'd guess she'd also been pi***ed. They sell for around $200-$250.

Much less than a professional excercise wheel. Figuring your wife out for you, she was hoping that you would have used the pedal dumper for replacing your gasoline-powered one, not only for earning money with it

We went to King's Row for ice cream Saturday evening.

    IMG_6568.JPG

Sunday after church we were going through town and I turned down the wrong street a block to early. I cut through a side street and I saw this old door that I have driven by before and I thought "Man, that is a neat architectural detail. It looks like it's frozen in time." It's not a busy street, so I was able to park the car and take a few photos.

Obviously the sermon at Church didn’t pertain to breaking the law and parking in between signs by the door.... lol. Neat pictures. Especially like the b/w one. That’s in keeping with the period of the Fury.

That building needed a fallout shelter sign.
