    Hey Group, Got another question.

I would like to get rid of the ugly throttle linkage that is on my 289. Any thoughts?
I have seen a few different threads on other sites but they don't have a kick-down rod.

If you use a more modern 4-barrel, a cable and modern pedal for the gas, and a Lokar cable for the kickdown, I think that would work. You would have to come up with a bracket to hold the cables at the carb end.

Interesting! I do have a 4 barrel edelbrock carb.

So you only need a bracket big enough for the two cables, then hooking them up, and any other fabbing.
