    That's great.
You should start a build thread in the cosmetics & restoration section.

I don't get on here much anymore so just now seeing this update. Just stay too busy and do not think my posts are as interesting as they once were. :D

As a fellow '72 Kingswood Estate owner, I am glad to see this car got a good home and being restored. Now I just wish I was as motivated as you are in getting the body work done on mine. lol. The cloth interior option is a neat feature on this car, as it was fairly rare. Will look forward to updates.

I always hoped the value of these cars would creep up. I see these listed all of the time, priced way up there and alot of people will say it is overpriced, but like you said, they are only worth what someone is willing to pay. I paid way too much for mine (in my opinion) in 2007 after I sold my '69 Caprice sedan. I paid $4000.00 for mine and still had to have the engine and transmission rebuilt. I easily have $6000.00 invested in it and it could use another $1000.00 or two in body work - maybe more. I know I could never get out of it what I have in it, but I plan to keep it for as long as I am able unless the right trade comes along. I looked for a clamshell wagon for years and finally ran across this one locally. It is definitely a conversation piece at the cruise-ins and grocery store parking lots. lol.

Congratulations on the purchase and enjoy it!

Awesome, I am looking forward to the final pics. It may motivate me to start on mine. lol. That brocade cloth interior option is super cool, you just rarely see that option. It also appears to have power seat? Mine looks to be optioned about the same, minus the power seat/cloth seats, plus tilt wheel on mine. One thing that I think makes these old cars so neat and even more unique is that they were all so oddly and differently optioned. I think the "Corvette" style hubcaps will look awesome on it, I love them on mine, which was a factory option on mine, but I do have a set of the base Caprice hubcaps that I bought on ebay that I have had on there before. I will switch it up a little. lol.

    Keep up the great work!

Here are some finished pics of the car. Dash has been repaired to new by Just Dashes and the front seat upholstery is fixed to new. Replaced the Fuel Tank sending unit and it work perfectly as well as all the vacuum hoses and brakes.

What a nice redo. You’ve brought it back to its former glory. It’s a really lovely car. I just love red wagons.
